Nepal in Data : Join Interactive Discussion

Bikas Udhyami, a new social innovation hub, invites you to the Student Launch and Interactive Discussion of Nepal in Data (NiD). NiD is an open data portal, serving as a single point of access, from where users can access, interact with, compare and use data relating to different aspects of Nepal's development. 

The event details are:

Time: 2:00 - 5:00pm

Location: Pulchowk Engineering Campus, Information and Communication Technology Centre, Ground floor, Conference Room.

Background : Nepal in Data is an open data portal developed by Bikas Udhyami, a social innovation hub, to make development data and statistics on Nepal from 1950 to present available, accessible and discoverable. 

The portal aims to serve as a single point of access from where users can access, interact with, compare and use data and statistics relating to different aspects of Nepal’s development. This includes 400 datasets spread over 12 sectors. 

Aspects of the program: There will be a presentation about how the portal works and its various features. Then there will be a discussion about the potential of using such data and statistics, the importance of evidence-based arguments, how the portal was designed and any other topic the audience brings up. 

Benefits for registrants: This will be an exclusive insight into the Nepal in Data portal. They will have the opportunity to become NiD ambassadors at their colleges.
